When is Splash Planet open?
Splash Planet is open 7 days a week except for Christmas Day from the 14th November 2011 – 6th February 2012. We go to our weekend operations only from 11th February 2012 – 9th April 2012.
The park opens at 10.00am and closes at 5.30pm everyday during this period.
Do you do family passes?
No, we only offer individual passes for adults and children. If you live in Hawke’s Bay you are entitled to join our Club Card which offers a discounted entry into the Park.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes we do. If your group consists of 15 or more paying people we offer discounts. See our Group Bookings for more information.

Do you have any height restrictions?
Height restrictions are in place to ensure the safety of our customers. Height charts are situated at various rides.

Children must be able to swim confidently to go on the outdoor slides and pools.
Can we bring a picnic into the park?
You are allowed to bring a picnic into Splash Planet, however no commercially prepared food or alcohol can be brought into the park. Due to safety regulations, glassware of any kind is prohibited.
Are your pools heated?
Our indoor pools are heated to about 28 degrees.
Can I leave the park once I have entered?
Yes you can, on entry you are given a wristband which will allow you to exit and enter the park through the gift shop at your convenience.
Can I go down the slides with my children?
The Double Dipper is the only slide that allows two people to ride at once.
Can I wear a t-shirt in the pools and on the slides?
You can, however we do recommend the top to be of swimwear fabric i.e rash shirt. We do hire and sell rash shirts from our gift shop – otherwise you can get quite sun burnt. See Pricing
What do I do about looking after valuables while at the park?
Splash Planet has coin operated security lockers available for hire. These are situated in the heated pools and cost $2 each time you wish to lock it. We strongly recommend you secure your belongings in these lockers during your visit to the park.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes we do! These are available from the Splash Planet gift shop or we can process a credit card transaction over the phone. Our gift vouchers do not have an expiry date and are only available as a super pass.
Can I bring in my own BBQ?
Due to safety regulations you can’t bring in your own however the park does have BBQ’s for hire and we do allow bookings for these throughout the season.
Can I reserve an area or BBQ table?
We only offer reserved areas from 14th November 2011 – 24th December 2011. Reserved areas are subject to size of group and availability. BBQ tables cannot be reserved.
Do you provide shading?
We have several shaded areas with shade cloths and umbrellas. There are numerous trees dotted around the park too. During our peak season, shading cannot be guaranteed and you are more than welcome to bring in your own umbrellas.
Can I leave my children to visit Splash Planet on their own?
Your children must be a minimum of 10 years old to be left unsupervised at the park. Children 8 years and under must be actively supervised around the pools and slides.
Are all the attractions included in the super pass price?
They sure are! This really means everything – all the pools, rides and slides and don’t forget our mini-golf. If you’re wanting the pools and slides only, then check out our swim pass option.
Can I just use the slides and pools?
Of course you can. All slides and pools are available when you purchase a swim pass.
Do you hire swimwear?
We do! We have a large range of adults/children togs, rash shirts and even towels if you forget yours. You can also purchase from our full range of swimwear at our gift shop.
What if the weather is bad or raining?
Splash Planet remains open rain or shine. In fact, if the weather isn’t great, you won’t have any queues and let’s be honest, you’re going to get wet anyway!
